The Abundant Life Backpack Giveaway is about more than school supplies—it’s about giving local kids a strong start and bringing our community together in a real, meaningful way. Every summer, families across Gable and Clarendon County join us to help set students up for a confident, successful year in the classroom. On Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, we’ll hand out fully stocked backpacks—each packed with classroom essentials like pencils, crayons, folders, and more—and serve free hot dogs and chips for all students and their families.
This year’s giveaway will be held at the Abundant Life Community Resource Center, 13386 US-301, Gable, SC 29051, and everyone is welcome—no sign-up required. Our goal this year is to fill and distribute 50 backpacks, so every child who attends can start school feeling prepared and supported.
We invite you to be part of this effort—whether by donating much-needed school supplies, contributing funds, or simply spreading the word to families who could use a hand. Donations of both supplies and funds are being accepted through July 26th, and every contribution, big or small, will make a direct impact on a local student. Our annual backpack giveaway is focused on giving local students the basic supplies they need for a great start to the school year. Each backpack is filled with essential items so kids can show up to class prepared and confident.

We want this event to be a celebration for everyone who attends, so we’ll be serving food on-site—first come, first served. Enjoy a classic hot dog with chips with your family as you pick up backpacks and connect with neighbors.
